Setting aside that car drivers cause virtually all the injuries and deaths on our streets, every time there is rare crash involving an illegal e-bike, naysayers capitalize by conflating them with safe, legal e-bikes to further an anti-bike agenda.

when I find myself getting mad about GenAI or algorithmic feeds I try to take a few deep breaths and think about the progress that's been made in bicycles and like ski touring bindings
I just love what they're doing with bikes today
The thing I want most from social media is for people to share things that I might want to read or watch that otherwise I wouldn’t read or watch, whether news, commentary, books, movies, tv, games to play, whatever. Bluesky does this. /4
Welcome.
Welcome to Bluesky.
You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest social media platforms. I thought so much of Bluesky that I elected to establish my Administration here, on .social so thoughtfully hosted by Our Benefactors.
Holy crap. This is terrible.
The article states it's "not related to the current U.S. government shutdown". But of course it is: they are both connected by the GOP destroying everything good about this country from the top down and the bottom up.
Root for the underdog! Go Mariners!
Ladies and gentlemen, we did it. SB 79 has been signed.
folded up and ready for the trip
Honda came up with a 1000cc V-Twin to beat Ducati and won the WSB title in 2000. This is the second revision of the RC-51, the SP-2 (VTR1000SP2) in road-going trim plus extra bling. #motosky #motorcycle #bikesky #bikersky #motorbike #honda #sp2 #vtr1000sp2 #rc51

Thank you @theurbanist.org @seattletru.bsky.social @sngreenways.bsky.social @transpochoices.bsky.social and every volunteer and advocate fighting for better mobility, connection, and safety on our streets. This is a shared win and something to celebrate.
A Seattle Public Utilities/Recology electric garbage truck. A slogan painted on the side of the truck reads “Zero emissions: electrifying!”
I was feeling pretty down this morning, until I saw an electric garbage truck, which cheered me up.
Today, the world became too much, so I resorted to something I used to do more often, which is take photos of the cargo bike on infrastructure I enjoy.
Seattle builds too many lifeless parks with endless green space that provides no recreation. The places they have installed minisoccer pitches are always active and vibrant. Why don’t we have one of these in every park?
I had to rebuild this scene a couple of times to get exactly what I was after, changing foliage, ground cover, and other details.
Please: give yourself the gift of grace that you're always learning.
Learning how to build models is a lifelong journey, you won't get it right the first time, and there's joy in iteration.
Thank you, Anna.
Good luck with your paper!

That’s almost certainly Fair Use in the United States.
Two-wheel news:
I am embarking on a new custom ebike project. Super excited to tell you all more as the parts come in.
Fantastic thread, @davidho.bsky.social is an excellent photographer.
So cool.
Photo of a man standing beside a motorcycle.
Can anyone out there tell me any info about this motorcycle? The photo is from the mid 1960s and the only thing I know is that it's a BMW. Thanks
Here's a thread of relaxing fun websites to get away from the noise

Let the sand flow and create weird little landscapes

If you find yourself needing to cancel plans at Disney but still have flights and hotels booked, Cape Canaveral is super cool and you can probably get your kids excused from school for going. You can do all the behind the scenes stuff and it's still cheaper than Disney world.
Picture of a fat bike wheel with an enormous disc brake rotor. final size is 180 mm this was just for a laugh
Just kidding
I’m not going to use a 246mm disc rotor on this 20x3.5” cargo bike wheel
Looks cool though
Given the distances involved, I can’t imagine a trip up a space elevator taking less than 24 hours, so there damn well better be coffee…
