im nonbinary and use primarily he/him pronouns, but i decidedly do not "pass" as masc. i encounter this a lot and, its nice to see someone else who shares this perspective. it feels like a tangible sign that they don't actually accept you, but they can claim to be "trying" to avoid confrontation
