βToday, March 11th is the 178th anniversary of Canadian democracy. 178 years of unbroken, uninterrupted parliamentary democracy. Which makes Canada the oldest continuous democratic federation in the world.β

Happy Canadian democracy day peeps.
Oooh so jealous! I would fight off sleep, but Iβd be there!
I think I watched that back in the day! π
So adorable!!! π»
The Magic Boxβs profit margins are quite high and yes, the death rate does keep the rent down!
Iβm reminded that the multiple owners of the Magic Box were murdered in grisly supernatural attacksβwhat would have possessed Giles to buy the place in Season 5? (RHETORICAL)
Why try out a new TV show when I can revisit Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Angel? (The HD streaming version still pains meβsoon I will have full access to my Buffyverse DVDs!)
Loved the 1988 miniseries!
For the 35th anniversary of ARMAGEDDON 2001, I interviewed writer/artist Dan Jurgens about the crossover and writing SUPERMAN ANNUAL 3.
We talk about writing "What Ifs", deciding Superman's future, the Evil Superman trope, and Superman vs Batman!

Okay, having CNNβs Canadian fact checker, Daniel Dale, pop up in a bit to embarrass TSNβs Jeff βO-Dogβ OβNeill is a stroke of genius. Iβll cut Trade Centre a break.
I got rid of Shudder over the summer (I just wasnβt watching it anymore), but I always appreciated Mr. Briggs. Heβll end up somewhere!
I like hockey, but Iβm already sick of NHL trade deadline coverageβin Canada, itβs hours of televised coverage! Outside of the GTA, the rest of the country hates the Leafs, so who cares if theyβre going to be sellers or buyers?
Pierre vs. snow drift!
Dammit, our secret is out! π
Pierre vs. snow drift!
Totally agree! I should look into picking up that Shout! Factory Blu-ray!
Do they still use the old guy with the unidentifiable accent and mesmerizing dentures?
I begged my mom to take me to see The βBurbs and I loved its delightful weirdness. My mom didnβt care for it, but she was a trooper!
This made me laugh out loud, so thank you! Contrast that with growing up in Saskatoon in the β80s and having the American TV network affiliates changed from bucolic Minot, ND to crime-plagued Detroit! π
Simply horrific. What are we becoming?
Sheβs my favourite characterβher presence was missed a couple of episodes ago!
Pierre and Tilda napping in afternoon sunlight.
Unlike fellow Gen Xers who seem to hate watch STARFLEET ACADEMY (thanks to YT suggesting these angry trollsβ videos), Iβve actually been enjoying the series, especially the last three episodes, with the DS9/Avery Brooks love letter being my favourite. Itβs not a perfect show, but few are nowadays.
Recent events have been very stressful, so Iβm glad these crittles are in my life.
Rockfish will have a hacker buddy put out the word in the Dark Web!
Why I donβt post much on social media anymore: living next door to a fascist neighbour is very depressing and each new day is filled with dread, uncertainty, and a dawning realization that evil frequently triumphs over good.
A young boy delivers orange juice to a fully nude Barbara Bouchet (offscreen).
My second film of the year is Lucio Fulciβs delightfully twisted rural giallo, DONβT TORTURE A DUCKLING (also on 4K Blu-ray). How did I forget about the orange juice scene? π€
Dean Martin and Walter Brennan look up to see where a pair of nylon tights were thrown from the Alamo Hotel at the end of RIO BRAVO.
My first film of 2026: Howard Hawksβ RIO BRAVO! The 4K Blu-ray is a revelation compared to the old Blu-ray.
