We live in a world that often misunderstands us, our authenticity is our greatest strength. Being autistic isn't just about challenges. Don't just live who you are, embrace how you are. It's about unique perspectives, incredible focus, and a depth with lots of passion that can change the world.

βWe urgently need to overcome the capitalist law of value and democratise our economy, so that we can organise production around urgent social and ecological priorities.β

US imperialism is the greatest threat to peace and security in our world today and it's not even close.
Iβm DISABLED.
Itβs not a dirty word.
Itβs a neutral, descriptive, and legal term to reflect that my conditions significantly affect my life and ability to do things
The richest 10% control 94% of total capital-ownership assets in the United States. They determine how to use our labour and resources, what we produce, and how our surplus is deployed. They determine the direction of our civilization. It is the antithesis of democracy.
Most autistic people I meet *like* being autistic. Itβs core to who they are & comes with many strengths
Whatβs hard is surviving in a society that rarely accommodates, respects or tries to understand us
Thereβs a BIG difference between being autistic & being unsupported
Letβs not confuse the two
Yes, disabled people deserve nice things too.
They deserve to have whatever social life possible for them.
They deserve to have holidays if able.
They deserve to have support, entertainment, and hobbies.
All of these can be fundamental to a good quality of life.
"The often referenced moral test of the measure of a civilization being based on how it treats its most vulnerable members is not one that the United States would pass today." Shoumita Dasgupta on our ableist administration, @statnews.com:

Iβm autistic. Not because of Tylenol.
Not because of vaccines.
Not because of some headline.
Iβm autistic because thatβs how
my brain works. Stop treating us
like a problem. Start listening to us.
βIn Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.β
It costs a lot less to house people.
Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%
Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%
Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.
As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

You donβt have to βearnβ rest
You donβt need a reason to take care of yourself
Itβs ok to have boundaries and to stop pushing yourself so hard
Your mind and body will thank you for it β€οΈ

"If we keep calling autistic communication a 'deficit,' we miss the truth. Autistic ppl donβt lack social skills; we have our own. We connect in ways that make sense within our neurotype, just as other groups do." Dr. Megan Neff; her #SNS panel is in 15 min.

universal healthcare is suicide prevention
It's crucial to understand that what's bad about income inequality is not just that it enables elites to consume more; it enables them to *control production*. They decide how to use *our* labour and *our* resources, and shape *our* future. It is a dictatorship of the rich.
We shouldnβt be looking at what causes autism
We should be looking at:
- how society can STOP STIGMATISING AUTISM
- support and services that work for everyone
- how to improve autistic peopleβs quality of life
- reducing suicide rates (9x higher for autistic people)
This suicide awareness month Iβd like something to be clear: self-identification of Autism reduces suicide risk and increases efficacy of psychotherapy. Individuals must behave responsibly for optimal wellness, but invalidation of self-identification only serves to further oppress and harm us.
Remember: The recipe for economic growth isnβt tax cuts for the rich. Itβs investment in our people β in health care, infrastructure and education β to build a strong middle class.
You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

Hey, DIPSHIT, do you ever think disabled rights aren't a big deal cause you're a hep cat?
THINK AGAIN
You're gonna get disabled eventually, as age or accident comes for us all! If you can't give a fuck for folks now, whose gonna give a fuck about you later?
"Autistic people take everything literally"
This is not an accurate statement, and I'm going to explain why.
Yes, autistic people do often take things literally, but there's more to it than that...
Autistic humans are tired of inclusion that only works on our "perfect days".
Anyone talking about housing affordability not mentioning the capital gains tax discount is not talking about housing affordability.
