@teesbirds.bsky.social The Black Throated Diver showed beautifully in the Marina this afternoon, swimming only a couple of yards out!
Thanks Dave!
Thanks Dave! The main reason I thought these birds were Shags was because of the crests as I didn't think Cormorants had these. Could you just clarify that for me. Many thanks!
@teesbirds.bsky.social Two Shags in the Harbour at the Headland this afternoon.
@teesbirds.bsky.social Willow Tit on the feeder at Scaling Dam this afternoon.
@teesbirds.bsky.social The Slavonian Grebe in the Docks this morning seemed to have struck up a friendship with the lone Guillemot there!
@teesbirds.bsky.social Lovely to see the Slavonian Grebe in the Docks this morning! Gave some wonderful views. Great spot by Ian Foster.
Bittern still showing at Phil Stead Hide
#NEBirding
Brilliant video capture of this Bittern!!!! It certainly provided some entertainment at the Phil Stead Hide this afternoon didn't it!!!
Congratulations Bob!
@teesbirds.bsky.social Wryneck still at South Gare, in the Sueda area. Elusive but giving some beautiful views.
@teesbirds.bsky.social 8 Spoonbills on Back Saltholme early this morning. They were still there about 6 hours later, but sleeping!
@teesbirds.bsky.social 6 Spoonbill showed well on Saltholme West for a while early this morning, before flying off to Back Saltholme.
Thanks Rob.
@teesbirds.bsky.social Returned to Margrove Park this morning for another look at the Pectoral Sandpiper - which gave some great, close-up views!
@teesbirds.bsky.social Some pics of the 6 Great White Egrets on Saltholme West early this morning.
@teesbirds.bsky.social A couple of record shots of the 9 Spoonbills at the Allotment Pool, Saltholme, this morning.
Stunning pic!
@teesbirds.bsky.social Delighted to see 41 LT fledglings on the beach at Seaton this afternoon. Most were very proficient at flight too. My joy at this was tempered when I returned to the promenade & with a minute the Kestrel swooped in, took an adult LT & sat in the breeding area eating it 😟
@teesbirds.bsky.social A couple of record shots (i.e. terrible photos!) of two Little Tern fledglings down on the shoreline at Seaton this morning. One still being fed by a parent!! Just good to see a couple of LTs that look like they might make it, after the awful breeding season to date!
@teesbirds.bsky.social Lovely to see the Little Tern chicks starting to appear at Seaton Carew! Great to have the support for the project & interest in the birds from both locals & visitors!

Terrific photo Ted!
@teesbirds.bsky.social A few more pics of the Dotterel on the Golf Course at North Gare today.
@teesbirds.bsky.social Great to see the Dotterel on the Golf Course at North Gare today! Terrific spot by Phil Niall.
@teesbirds.bsky.social Apologies - I've been informed by a number of people that the bird is a Knot rather than a Ruff!
@teesbirds.bsky.social A few more of the Ruff on Seaton beach this afternoon!
@teesbirds.bsky.social The flock of up to 81 Little Terns on the beach at Seaton this afternoon had a Ruff join them - feeding with them, flying off & returning with them! Great to watch!
