We already heavily tax other vices like smoking and alcohol because those do have some effect in curbing bad behavior plus that’s additional revenue to help fund more positive things.

I think the more likely move going forward is greater govt regulation/taxes. Put big taxes on betting.
The #1 problem for games today is discovery and curation. We are drowning in games to play. So many games get lost in the shuffle. 90% of success is just getting people to be aware of your game.
Also doesn’t sound like it’s launching for consumers until 2028 at the earliest
It’s also not an accident he keeps going on air to say this right as trading on the stock market is ongoing. He is also attempting to juice the stock market by just saying what they want to hear
I suspect they will center the Zelda 40th around the Zelda movie that’s out early next year.
It’s not cool and hip to be associated with the Democratic Party, which is poison to people on social media. People want to feel cool and hip.
It’s largely an effect of they don’t need to rush these things out when their 1st half of the year is already mostly filled out.
I can easily see them doing a dedicated FE direct for the new game
They’ve already got the 1st half of the year basically covered. They don’t really need to say much more until June.
Remember when many years ago Vermont attempted to create their own Medicare for all system and they couldn’t do it because the state taxes would go up so much even the state that elects Bernie Sanders balked at the tax cost?
Also no one talks about RedSec. They made a F2P alternative that immediately flopped and went nowhere

Both sides are going to be forced into the negotiating table kicking and screaming (the US in particular)
Xenoblade X did get its upgrade pack released last month with its physical version coming in April.
Part of their audience now is the subset of adults who want to like kids movies but only if it’s “sophisticated” enough
@starshine.bsky.social the revolution will be led by Mario himself
How’s the game performing on the switch 2?
Also very possible that Trump is lining his own pockets with tariff money

Whether these strikes actually accomplish anything is beside the point. It’s all about that sweet sweet content on social media baby.
One of the big paramount shows is a bunch of Star Trek which I would also classify as not being very right wing
Like even with all this consolidation by right wing over these media apparatuses it has not helped trump at all! His approvals continue to fall despite the friendly media types in charge!
Literally the history of WB is a long history of getting swallowed and spat out by a long line of companies. WB is an unruly beast
Companies always believe they can buy and fix WB and it almost always gets spat back out because they can’t handle it
Trump I think still holds some attachment to his old stomping grounds of NYC which is why it seems the Trump politics there seem oddly personal
This is the problem with going with untested political neophytes is we really have no idea if they’re going to be at all reliable
It’s basically giving up any real attempt at a comeback and opting to cash in on the right wing grift
I also suspect what Martin probably handed them was information on where all the characters wind up at the end and not much beyond that
