Totally agree! I ended up watching cat videos for a while just to get my head out of my protagonist’s sick mind.
Horror is so fun to write. I managed to scare the heck out of myself with what I wrote—finally.
#writers If you’re writing horror, the secret is to scare yourself first and foremost, and not rely on genre conventions. Keep editing and revising until it’s too scary to edit and you need breaks. 😱 😜
To be honest, I couldn’t draw a stick figure if my life depended on it. A more artsy friend read the finished draft and came up with the 8.
