On January 21, 2026, Yves Guillemot announced the end of remote work, closure of several studios, cancellation of projects, and a new 200€ million β€œcost-cutting” plan. We were informed of this at the same time as the press β€” as none of these changes had been discussed during the mandatory consultations with the works councils a few days earlier! On January 26, 2026, management announced the implementation of a voluntary departure plan that will affect 200 people at Ubisoft’s headquarters.

We are promised autonomy for Β« Creative Houses Β», but what about autonomy for employees? We have been negotiating for over a year on remote work policy, sometimes under difficult conditions. An agreement has been in place since September in some studios. Trampled underfoot!

We are told about responsibilities, but those who wield this word so easily do not take any responsibility for the consequences of their catastrophic management.

I don't know that the colors need to be plugged into anywhere on the material, it looks like on my mesh I literally just have the color attribute floating off plugged into nothing, though deleting it and reimporting hasn't made any difference that I can see so I'm not sure it was necessary for me.

Oh, yes I do, I basically have in the blend file a material that recreates the same shader as in game so it looks right when I'm editing it. It is set to export materials but I don't know that any of it gets used since its a custom node material.

On import I have an external material set for that mesh, but if I uncheck that, it does default to just showing the vertex colors as albedo for me which is I assume what you want

I believe under the hood it uses blender's gltf export, so it could also be an issue of your blender version or settings, but I'm not as sure on any details there that might effect the import.
