Paul Skenes simply pitched like Paul Skenes in the WBC.
The only difference of Paul Skenes on Team USA compared to the Pirates to this point in his career is he actually got run support.

I hosted LockedOn NHL Game Night after a wild spring Sunday in the NHL.
We talked about the Sabres beating the Lightning 8-7 in the midst of chaos, the Penguins' big comeback, the Red Wings snapping their skid, is Colorado or Dallas the true West favorite and more.
I can already foresee Pittman on the Steelers is going to make people incorrectly call Pittsburgh "Pitt" more than ever before.
"Pitt" is an abbreviation for the university, but the pro teams are PIT. "Pgh" can work if you prefer, but calling the Steelers "Pitt" is just wrong.

Championships arenβt disputed, too. We will debate the bubble every year but no one argues if who becomes the champion is legit or not and no one tries to claim a title that the NCAA ignores. WVU claiming β42 NIT win as a natty is really only example I can think of. CFB title history is a mess.
Jayson Tatum makes Celtics history for actual play in season debut
An undefeated regular season is impressive no matter what. HOWEVER, there is absolutely no way this Miami (OH) team would be undefeated if they played a tougher schedule. Just no way. They have way too many close wins against average to bad teams.
*They should get in though.*
For an historic mid major story, which normally would be easy to root for, Miami (OH) has tons of unlikable tendencies. Waving goodbye and telling the crowd to "F off" after beating a team that entered the game at .500 in OT is a bit much. I get Ohio is a rival, but come on.
The Steelers refuse to ever fully rebuild and do what the Raiders are doing, granted itβs an easier decision when you only win two games.
Maxx Crosby deserves a shot at playing for a winner. The Raiders needed to get what they could for him as they rebuild.
Butttt Crosby on the Ravens is going to be a problem for the Steelers.
Evgeni Malkin has meant the world to the Penguins. They donβt have three of their Stanley Cups without him. But Malkin was selfish and 100% deserves this suspension. Heβs lucky he didnβt get more games.
North Carolina AD Bubba Cunningham once cited a key player being injured as a reason that team shouldnβt be included in the NCAA Tournament.

Because it's still true: Why Pirates were right to sign Marcell Ozuna instead of Andrew McCutchen
People aren't taking into account that there's almost no way Andrew McCutchen would've been happy playing sporadically and not starting in Pittsburgh.
Some Pirates fans come off as if they now donβt want the team to win this season because it will be without Andrew McCutchen. Theyβll be so mad Cutch canβt be part of it that itβll take away from enjoying the success of the current team.

I went around the Pittsburgh sports horn with Paul Zeise, discussing why the Steelers fail report cards, what they should do at QB, the ceiling for the Penguins, if the hype around the Pirates is valid and why Jeff Capel has failed at Pitt.

Youβre right that doing only part would be almost worse than continuing on. It is possible they could do the first two and try to sell to giving new coach time (kinda punting year one). Definitely not ideal and a risky plan. Itβs kinda what WVU did with Rod though. They saved to spend now.
