The more relevant part for me is/was that despite all that heβs still telling me this dark ass story about decapitation and loss with a degree of nonchalance and swagger and thatβs just how heβs always been.
It involved a car accident in the 70βs. Itβs hard to recount the specifics because my Dad was telling me the story over the phone from his hospital bed. His voice is weak and shaken from Parkinsonβs and there was a persistent chatter of a television and various beeping medical monitors.
But did you see the game afterwards? π
Thatβs a really heartwarming gift!
The notion that weβve run out of ideas is one of the most ridiculous statements Iβve ever heard. Ideas are a dime a dozen, we get rehashes of previous ideas because everyoneβs trying to mitigate risk. Unproven ideas are risky by and itβs hard to take risks when everyone is living in a razors edge.
Have you even talked to your parents on Christmas if you donβt get at least one story from the family lore that involves a double decapitation?
Look, I canβt even pretend to claim that Iβm smart enough to fully appreciate this but Iβm at at least smart enough to appreciate that anything @hellomizk.bsky.social puts her hand to is worth taking a look at so thereβs that.
As we come towards the close of the year we at the Guild of Medievalist Makers wanted to share our 'Year in Review: 2025', written by Guild co-founder @hellomizk.bsky.social.
Thank you to all of the Guild members who have made 2025 an excellent inaugural yearπ
Iβm on iOS but this is what I get.
Iβm guessing itβs moderated by default now. I donβt recall ever turning that on and you canβt even enable it through the app itself.

Whenever you think your OCs are dumb as fuck, just remember:
Butt Detective is a legit actual thing
What could possibly go wrong?
That would still require them to have enough staff to do the work. Buying studios in a convenient way to acquire already established and working teams.
This is very clearly the direction in which things are headed, especially since so many of the people who built and maintained the tools the US IC has developed-in house have been fired or have left.

If you live in San Francisco, today is a good day to familiarize yourself with the San Francisco Rapid Response Network, which has a 24-hour hotline for reporting ICE raids, actually verifies those raid reports, and does attorney activation: sfilen.org/resources/sf...
I mean I think this is how you get Disco Elysium.
I did not consent to jump scares in my feed.
Lovely, there was an expedition of her work here in SF about a year ago. While I donβt know where she stood on such things it definitely felt like her male studies were a chore in comparison to her fem portraits.
Indeed - sadly I want to be like βwell it depends on their definition of what a fine young boy meansβ but if theyβre putting it on a bus like that we can make some conclusionsβ¦
Check out the book β101 things I learned in architecture schoolβ.
Damn, thatβs great
I know for a lot of folks something like Folsom is all about kink and sexuality but today I just really felt very loved and accepted by friends and strangers regardless of that context.
If you're into the 1920s/30s and art depicting common people's lives and night scenes of New York, you'll love the art Martin Lewis (1881 β 1962) made.

Here's a small selection of his work;
Oh man, the compression really hammered that so hereβs some detail shots.
For the record Iβm still alive, I was lucky enough to land a new job after the post launch layoff but the new job has been very intense. I did manage to make this tree study that Iβm happy with though so thereβs that.
Good to see your face!
π My clothes are not that old but Iβm deeply divided between my desire to see people I like that I only run into when I venture out into the world and my desire to avoid the complications of people Iβd rather not deal with when venturing out into the world.
