"We really are just lost for words at this point. The suffering is intolerable." UNRWA Louise Wateridge tells @cnn.com.

After months of war and siege, #Gaza humanitarian crisis is overwhelming. People are starving, deeply traumatized, and have nowhere safe to go. The siege must be lifted.

Gaza - scenes from a, literal, hell. Notice the child on top of this pile of shrouded dead bodies. A reminder, these are people who were killed with their bodies intact, many more are blown to pieces and bc of the sanctity of the body, fare collected in bags, for burial, chunks and bits by bit.

In Gaza, almost every IDF platoon keeps a human shield, a sub-army of Palestinian slaves | Opinion ***

"In Gaza, human shields are used by Israeli soldiers at least six times a day...Today, almost every platoon keeps a "shawish," and no infantry force enters a house before a "shawish" clears it. This means there are four "shawishes" in a company, twelve in a battalion, at least 36 in a brigade. 1/4

The values we are defending are so very, very basic. We must aim for a mass throw-your-body-on-the-machine resistance movement in the millions. And please, red-baiting from any liberals or moderates, no purity one-upsmanship from radicals. We must love one another, or die.

I expect universities to be in the crosshairs, and Israel/Palestine to be the leading wedge of the attack as it’s been the last year; of course it won’t end there, it was never going to. But the roadmap to weaponize government power against anti-Israel expression has been clearly laid out.

"Professor Robert Vitalis, who served as MEC director from 1999 to 2006, wrote to the DP that he advised Küçük to resign. 'The president and the provost have lost sight of the university’s academic mission, and I am ashamed of a place that once inspired me,' Vitalis wrote."
