My ex wanted one 30 or so years ago. In SoCali, at least, there are companies that deal in the "interior decor piano" market who will deliver one and get it situated (even in an upstairs room!) and come collect it when it gets boring.
Few of them ever get played, none show up on the used market.

Maybe Jack "Kaptain Ketamine" Dorsey should look in a mirror.
HE is the person responsible for AI replacing all those people, NOT AI.
That was a corporate decision made by him to save money, nothing more.
And of course, HIS job isn't going to go to AI anytime soon because he is "valuable"...

"But for decades, corporate America has viewed 'labor as a cost to be minimized as opposed to a resource to be developed' "
THIS is the basis for Capitalism!
Labor has no intrinsic value, it is only EVER a cost to be minimized.
Hence the stampede to AI as a replacement for all - EXCEPT the CEOs.

I have long maintained that if you and I were sitting in a bar in ancient Babylon having a beverage, we'd be complaining about the same kinds of things as we complain about today except we'd be just wearing different funny hats.

I wish I had kept a list of all the people that told me while I was growing up that I couldn't be a slacker, that if I worked hard and played by the rules and did all the stuff that things would turn out great. I would love to pay each one of them a visit and tell them how it's been going.

Enhanced Border Security and Visa Entry Reform Act of 2002 - Wikipedia
Fun fact: the 2002 Enhanced Border Security and Visa Entry Reform Act, which mandated tracking all foreign students and putting them in a biometric database called Chimera, passed the senate 97-0
It was *overwhelmingly* bipartisan, to do this
Schumer voted for it

There's not much to understand, as I understand it. It has 2 primary uses, neither of which concern most people: money laundering and untraceably purchasing illegal items such as drugs or CSAM.
All of the hype surrounding it as an "investment" opportunity is a figleaf promoted by the crypto-bros.

I have a feeling Trump won’t remain in office until 2029.
He has become far too, far too, far too mad and dangerous in his behavior, and in the consequences of his madness, and he’s dragging far too many people down with him.
It's all way too much already.

I think he is incapable of even pretending to care. He doesn't know what it is.
He's just another psychopath like the rest of the people Trump (the Prime Psychopath) has surrounded himself with.
No empathy, no moral sense, lacking in some of the basic things that define "being human".

Wild guess, tho', that their Mile High Boinking days in the DHS luxury jet are over.
Along with the huge grift they had going. Gone.
It could have lasted, but she got greedy and couldn't fend off a Congressional Probe - even a light one by Dems.
The final straw was upstaging Trump. Not allowed!

Exactly!
Nobody accumulates that kind of personal wealth legally even at the salary that Congress pays itself even if they have no personal expenses.
It's the best grift going, all one must do is be successfully elected and then the money rolls in if you play the game.
