/consider this a slightly alternate version of the Borg that doubles down on the more interesting exploration of hivemind and ignores any lore that makes it less interesting
It's a common misconception that our "queens" control the collective, their role is to act as a locus of decision making for their unimatrix, but that decision making is a collective process, and a Borg "queen" is no more powerful than anyone else.
