Old story I donβt rememberβ¦apparently I packed my bags on 1972 and left home. I was found by a tall blonde youth who thankfully shepherded me home. Probably Dave or one of his mates, I have a lot to be thankful for βπ»

Bournville mate, about 1971/2. We lived in the bottom of the house. Dadβs brother and Auntie Ange, and later Cousin Jo lived on the top half. Great times, remember feeding the donkeys in the park at the back ππ»
An absolute hero, and so grounded. hereβs me and my Dad on the other side of the fence from where a young Dave and his mates used to hang out in lunchtimesβ¦.i wonder if we ever talked over the fence at the bottom of the garden
Dave Wakelin on TOTPβ¦ I really miss him from Twitter. Talking about Bournville park like it used to be, music, life. One of the best humans I have been graced to walk the same planet asβ¦..βπ»βπ»βπ»βπ»βπ»thanks Dave for everything
Bloody hellβ¦this Dexter Gordon is good. First proper listen, this Cat can really playβ¦thanks Boss ππππππ
Also, if you would ever like to discuss how the drafting of the Green and then the white paper developed for the drafting of the bill for the rules as were, I would be more than happy to talk. My Dad did most of the technical input for those rules.
Well you Arenβtβ¦. Thatβs high praise from the Bromfordβ¦π
Also you know about MoD procurementβ¦..this is a subject very, very close to my heart. There was nothing like the beautiful MoD procurement rules in the 90βs and early 2000βs, an absolute gem of accounting and legal construction.
Always a pleasure Sir. Any lad born in Selly Oak hospital, and did a Law degree, like me, who supports the Magnificent Aston Villa, and is proud of the wonderful City of Birmingham has got to be OK. And you arenβt exactly an arse, so worthy of a good followβ¦.π
Not Paddy, that would have been fineβ¦.Oadbyβ¦.bloody spellchecker
Nothing like it to annoy the locals. Did it once in 1988β¦. Paddy pub in Leicester. There were about 15 of us and about 30 yokels. Handbags at dawn stand off. Bloody hilarious πππππ

Sister Ray on 3 times straightβ¦..got to be done πππ
It must have been 2020 when I was introduced to him at the Guitar show in Birminghamβ¦seemed like a really down to earth guy, really concerned about the players above the profits. Rare these days.
Thinking about it, let me know next time before you set out. There are 3 junctions, that if you know how best to take them can trim at least 15 minutes off journey times on a Friday, sometimes as much as 25 minutes. Unbelievable, just from choosing the right way to do those.
The owner seems like a nice guy too, very concerned about doing the right thing as far as the instruments are concerned, he told me he tells his staff I donβt care if it takes longer to finish and set up, just make sure it goes out right.
Should be OK for the M69 junction this time of day. Travel well βπ»
Drive carefully, there are some horrible sections of bad road on the A42 onto the M42, and also the M6 before and after the M5 junction if you are going that way. M42 and M40 not so bad, but watch out for standing water between j6 and J4 on the M42 if you are going that way βπ»
Love cheese, but I like it on my own terms, if that makes sense. I have been so disappointed with the cheese I have had over the past 6 months. I have ant a bit of cheese on my pizza, but I would like to leave a bit of space for nice cheese later, if I could find some π
When I make pasta, I try and freeze a couple of small pots precisely to put on the top of pizzas. The little minty dip ones from an Indian takeaway are about perfect for a 10β pizza, but totally agree about over cheesing a pizza. A couple in Barnsley left me hardly able to move
These new Winter Olympics events seem to have been lifted from a Winter Itβs an International Knockout from the early 70βs
That looks really silly. Particularly keeping the roof tile line in roof tile. Just why????
Today I have been listening to the Rich Kids Ghosts of Princes in Towers π
Phil SilversΒ grew up atΒ 417 Pennsylvania Avenue,Brooklyn, NY, with his family, according to the 1920 census when he was 9 years old.Β I made a pilgrimage in 2014 accompanied by US buddy Jonathan M Smith. It's time to commemorate with a plaque.

Been a crap week. Bought some music today to cheer me up a bit, Dexter Gordon -Go, a missing Talk Talk album, some Dave Brubeck and replace my lost Marquee Moon. Van Der Valk on on TPTV. Tomorrow should be a better day βπ»
Fingers crossed
If I see a DG in a charity shop, I always seem to come home with it. I was trying to educate myself on Sunday mornings for a while.

Today on this program you will hear gospel, and rhythm and blues, and jazz. All those are just labels. We know that music is musicβ¦ All of our people have got a soul, our experience determines the texture, the tastes and the sounds of our soul. Beautiful words, beautiful man π
