Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

Helping children learn to read has changed me I wrote another piece for the Philadelphia Inquirer. It's received a lot of positive feedback so far, which is much appreciated. I don't write much these days and haven't had much of a desire, but the kind messages and emails I have received over the past few days has me thinking that maybe I should return pen to paper. We'll see.

I'm just testing the Bluesky plugin on wordpress. I'm still trying to decide if Bluesky will be my new home.

Just heard about a Community College of Philadelphia adjunct professor who has just $12 until we get paid again. Twelve dollars.

These are the stakes. This one of the reasons we are organizing to strike if necessary.

And that union member still signed a strike pledge.
