3. The idea that we "create an equal playing field" by eliminating choice and forcing people into prescribed channels (ex. formal education) is beyond paternalistic and condescending. This patronizing attitude is such a turnoff and why we barely gain traction against the worst the GOP ever produced.
2. The way you promote equality, in part, is by promoting access to capital and the ability to invest as fits ones means. Not all want to or need to pursue college degrees. In fact, they are of diminishing value and the age of credentialism is largely past. However, capital and time are scarce.
1. First, it's not interest. It's compounding growth. Second, this is an opportunity to provide capital to populations who often have none at all to invest. Actual seed money that can be used toward housing, education, business, etc. These are the very populations shut out from these opportunities.
