Might be the light but looks like a Green Sand.
31 sps seen in Sussex woodland yesterday. Marsh & Coal Tits in good numbers. 2 Hawfinch & a Dartford Warbler gave good views. Fircrest's & Goldcrests were numerous as were Kites, Buzzards & Ravens. The stand out though was watching displaying Goshawks in the bright blue sky.

Might be too late or they might have gone, but they are usually right out the far back towards the left. There is a separate bit of water behind the main flood. Telescope needed :)
A couple of good bird finds in Sussex for January. Tundra Bean Goose on my local patch and then a Caspian Gull on an industrial estate, most likely from a German project, but awaiting info. Nice comparison v Herring Gull.

Incredible to have one perched singing in a tree. Tricky surroundings all the time for photos, but pretty special to hear.
