She was the center of attention after Lily passed last October, so that's what she's used to. I suppose it's like the possible upset a human kid feels when getting a new sibling. It's too soon to formally introduce Matilda, Iris, and Violet, but hopefully they all get along

Matilda has been a bit out of sorts with the arrival of the little ones, so she's been getting extra attention to reassure her, and many snacks

Big, big hugs to you. I feel this in my bones, and I send the biggest hugs and gentle vibes your way

It took me some time to clean the half of the cage when that rat passes on. Within 2wks I end up cleaning it, within a couple days if there's a surviving rat (so as to give that rat time to process the loss as well). It's a big part of the grieving process for me, part of moving forward.
