Sounds like he has been doing fairly substsntial work to shore up internal party structure. Plus he had to win his seat in the legislature last summer.

My god I can't believe we are at "please Terminator come save us from the evil AI and their overlords"

I suspect marginalized folks have heard that promise before, critically important they are included as we fight fascism.

It is also true to say at this very moment, we need the Terminator, his knowledge of the fascist playbook, and electoral success.

Jason Kenney:
To those who imagine that a separation referendum will increase Alberta’s leverage in Ottawa: in fact you’re just going to end up electing more Liberal MPs in Alberta.

The vast majority of Albertans want us to lead Canada, not leave it. Dividing Albertans weakens our province.

Quoting David Coletto:
The independence debate may be reshaping federal politics in Alberta.

β€’ 79% of strong independence supporters back the Conservatives federally
β€’ 56% of strong independence opponents back the Liberals

Opposition to independence appears to be consolidating support behind the Liberals.

Jason Kenney, who courted separatists to try and increase his leverage against Ottawa by lighting a fire and then pouring a glass of water on it to make himself look like a hero, is now saying that it's a bad plan that will only elect more Liberals.
Zeus wept, this man has zero self-awareness.

Agreed. There's no time, and not enough people on the ground. I feel the same way about the AB Party tbh. I know they don't have the structures in place. The NDP came within 5300 well placed votes of winning last time (yay 1st past the post) and have done a LOT of quiet organizational work since.

Hey #Canada, this is what #Alberta is dealing with right now.

For reference, a bunch of her referendum questions are aboit charging immigrants for healthcare "because we are broke"

I'm no fan of the dude based on what I've seen on his writings but I cannot FATHOM losing that many family members and then stepping into a position like that.

My only suggestion is to throw Katie Porter, AoC, Beto, Bernie, and Schwarzenegger in a room with a giant white board and see what they come up with.
Whatever that is, everyone else get in line and do that.

I wish I was joking.

I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.

As a rural-dweller, I suspect that many of them would be surprised at how many of their values would actually place them on the left.
