guess we gotta see who the coaches will be too
Do you anticipate keeping any of the secondary outside of Fitzpatrick and maybe one of Jones or Douglas next year? Will we have to endure yet another rice first half defensively while installing the system? Especially with also having to remake the Edge room?
Iβve not talked about the LLM bubble on here yet, as mostly I discuss technical rather than economic issues, but itβs something Iβve been thinking about quite a bit. Especially while reading Carlota Perezβs Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital. Here are some thoughts.
reek had it right where he expected it
Itβs fun and provocative to think of this as device-decentralization and increasing the interface to interact with objects. Metaphysically weighty
Is the quiet, deep beaver spot behind my house the same as a home for a small rodent and the last place I can find St. Johnβs Wort in my area?
Yeah, youβre contending with a long-lived ontological problem of where the real object is. Like is Socrates Sitting the same object as Socrates Standing even though the qualities are different?
will i be able to talk with βThe quiet and deepest part of the beaver swampβ by my house?

totally! feel like iβve intuitively known optionality causes more problems than it offers solutions for but the status quo has been completely the opposite; had me questioning myself
It translates all the other forces on its own behalf, and it seeks to make them accept the version of itself that it would like them to translate.
my friend says:
The wild feeds humans.
Humans feed the culture.
Culture feeds the wild.

what does your culture feed?
the stupid ai really helped out tonight. feel like this is the best kind of use iβve found. like βwhatβs obvious that iβm missing?β
got βon the phoneβ with chatgpt and that shit helped me realized i didnβt think to just check the fuse. pulled into the driveway, yup. different store, new fuse, victory (that i really needed).
wow so today after work i rushed to the auto parts store because my headlight burnt out yesterday (and i donβt need to give the cops any reason to pull me over). bought it as they closed, didnβt work, spent 45 mins in the parking lot racking my brain, called it defeat. on the way home thoβ¦
oh interesting. in the imagination moment i let whatever iβm feeling tap into my subconscious. then that either pops up in my mind randomly or sometimes i quiet down enough when working on a puzzle to feel into it
iβll try to remember exactly the activity (often driving or walking or some menial task at work), give the feeling a name, reword it on the spot, basically attentively play with it in the environment iβm in.
then write later during some regular practice - which ends up as a reconstruction exercise
this is when i really try to build as many connections as possible in the moment when something feels struck
i went and grabbed some sand from our big lake, strips of the coast are strewn with deposits of whatever this black sand is. i want to try to incorporate it into pottery so these are some test tiles that have just come out of the bisque firing.
but they also look like a cute mountain scape
write later but often
i agree with this. nothing is quite the same as the sensations in imagining (which i often get reading actually). writing is work and a puzzle and full of forgetting.
my strategy for capture is mostly relying heavy on subconscious and also trying to build memory connections when imagining.
