I don’t know what this is worth, but for me the big attraction about the Doctor was the fact that he wasn’t interested in girls or romance (every other male lead on TV seemed to have to woo the girl) and I *still* don’t like when there’s romance for the Dr in the new series.

If someone for example called me a f*g because of Tourette’s I would not expect them to apologize as I know they’d feel bad enough already. I’d make sure that they knew I understood there was no malice intended move on. But that’s just me.
