My hollanov fanfic, come back
Watching disabled people around the world mourn Alice is a reminder of the good aspect of the internet. 30 years ago, few people outside of SF would ever have known Alice existed. I never would have met her. The internet connected us all. Letβs honor Aliceβs memory by using that power and community.
Oh my gosh.... feathers! [2/2]
This is class solidarity.
In case youβre at all confused.
The absence of mourning is not equal to the presence of celebration, and itβs strange how many people have conflated the two over the last day.
Lastly, #5) Never assume that you are too smart a person to fuck up and need to apologize. Or too good of a person. Or too well-intentioned. Or too ANYTHING.
You're human. You WILL fuck up. And you will need to apologize. Who and what you are, are irrelevant.
AAAAAH! omg this is excellent news. Thank you! Living in excited anticipation
Hungerβs Bite is fantastic, easily one of my faves this year. Pls check it out so I can live in hope of a train themed sequel

alt: The cover for Courtney Milan's A Kiss for Midwinter, saying: grumpy doctor her who possesses a dark sense of humor, prefers people not dying of cholera, tells women the truth about their own bodies, is also a contraception proponent? is absolutely in love with the sunshine heroine. not even a close call. just embarrassing.
Jonas knows Lydia's deepest secret. He's always wished he could do something about it.

OH NO THEY'RE HOT
I QRTβd like βI write sex scenes like any other scene and plenty of ace people write flaming hot love scenes without ever being horny.β Christ on a vibrating dildo. Can you imagine having to be turned on *every time* you write a sex scene? Who has time for that?
Aabria and Erika want you all to know that romance is NOT dead.

Again, but louder: the server canβt be reached by libraries and the folks trying to use them BECAUSE OF AI CRAWLERS.
screenshot of instagram post by @emmelnie The news has broken that the great @victorgadino , one of the last of the working romance-cover artists who started back in the 1970s, will no longer be actively producing romance covers. This is heartbreaking news, of course, because Victor has steadfastly persevered through stages that have transitioned romance covers and stepbacks from traditional oil paintings to digital art and photographs. But as Victor notes on that last slide, we are in an age of cartoon covers, and thatβs not his style. Victor, like many of the great original cover artists, excelled at realism. His ability to capture peopleβs expressions, emotions, and feelings in their faces and bodies made his art remarkable. Add to it glorious backgroundsβsometimes majestic, sometimes humorousβand his intricate details, and you had someone who could deliver the whole package. Victorβs place in the romance cover-art pantheon was secured decades ago with his amazing stepbacks, which Iβve chosen to feature a plethora of today. But he started with the historic Gordon Merrick covers in the 1970s and continued creating front-cover art to this yearβa 50-year career! And Victor is still producing glorious fine art! If you follow him, you know that heβs been working on a grand series of Hollywood movie icons reimagined as space explorers, Glamour Girls in Outer Space. Watching them evolve is one of my favorite things about following Victorβs feed. He always shares his artistic process with us all, not just the final product, and thatβs something I adore seeing unfold.
what a time. β₯οΈ
the new puritanism is to blame for the loss of these covers. most social media sites & AMZ will not allow romance authors to buy ads with clinches, which puts Gadino out of a job, as discussed in this instagram post.

What happened in New York is monumental. It shows that big money can be defeated, and that you can elect the leaders you deserve. I know itβs just the primary but New York sent a real message that I hope resonates across the Democratic Party.
βTrump is using military forces to stop a protest β I want y'all to consider what kind of government it appears to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military is deployed against us.β

Photo of my Howl Pendragon cosplay on a sewing form, frontal three quarters view. White shirt and black pants with a pink and blue jacket thrown over the shoulders, like the Studio Ghibli design. The jacket is heavily beaded and covered in floss and ribbon embroidery. There are also two necklaces with blue pendants around the form's neck and a pair of green drop earrings pinned close by.

The jacket is heavily beaded and covered in floss and ribbon embroidery. The back of the jacket shows the scene from the Ghibli film as a young Howl standing on a meadow catches a falling star. There are other falling stars in the night sky. The meadow is completely beaded and framed in a golden velvet ribbon. Embroidered with golden floss beneath the golden ribbon reads: "You who swallowed a falling star, o' heartless man".
