One of the problems with the 2016 exit polling which found that 81% of white evangelicals voted for a reality TV show producer was that blacks didn't identify as evangelical. 9% of black christians did too.

All I know is he's referred to here as an evangelical. And that's deceiving bc as a rule blacks prefer to refer to themselves as christian or born-again, not evangelical.

There are black pastors in the SBC too. The exceptions don't negate the rule.

It's too late in the life of Christianity to establish a 'true' interpretation. But, if more begin to condemn our maga cousins' faith publicly, maybe we can take back the word fundamental to mean loving your God is loving your neighbor as yourself.

Assuming they're whites. I think the answer is every conservative white has a propensity to be racist but for most it's not activated (seen). They can be quite non-racist, generous even, i.e. until it is.

In America, Blacks have not held nearly equal power except for a decade around 1870 and 1960 and they governed with an even hand. There is no basis for maga fear that they will reciprocate in kind
