indie creators are more responsible with NSFW material than corps are. paywalls arn't just for profit, it's to block minors from viewing bc you need to be 18 to have a CC. yet creators are literally barred from posting behind paywalls so it's posted freely, and that's being cited to make legislation

anyone can watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Netflix right now. the show is aimed at a teen audience. it has gratuitous b-camp violence and minors fucking monsters. there's a whole season where Buffy and Spike just spend it railing each other softcore. can't do fanart of it on patreon or substar tho

the same payment processors take your money for Netflix as they do for patreon, kofi, stripe, substar and gumroad -- just to name a few. wonder why corporations can show age gap monsterfucking content but individuals can't.
