Open extrajudicial murder by the state is the norm now for America
Good luck as the media and the fascist digital estate hyper normalized fascist violence and murder camps without a shot being fired except Into peaceful protestors.

Trump did not announce a U.S. policy then walk it back. That is not what happened, and media presenting it that way does a disservice.
Trump said words he thought might appeal to his audience in the moment, with no connection to actual policy, then did that again with a different question/asker.

Chyron: Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of L. Gen. Joshua M. Rudd for appointment in the US Army to the grade of General
Yea 68, Nay 28
Lt. Gen Joshua Rudd passes cloture 68-28. Waiting for the roll call to know which Dems voted yea. Will likely remain the same for tomorrow's confirmation vote.

For context, Rudd needs to be promoted to General so he can assume appointments to lead US Cyber Command and the NSA.

Cloture vote for Rudd in the Senate is beginning with confirmation to happen tomorrow. Unsure if any Dems will vote for this, but I do know Ron Wyden (D-OR) is against the nomination due to Rudd's lack of cyber background.

It's been 65 days since Donald Trump invaded a sovereign state, abducted its leader, and declared the US will "run" the state indefinitely
It's been 9 days since Trump launched a war (his word) against Iran without congressional approval
No House member has filed articles of impeachment for either

The screaming subtext here is a call for ethnic cleansing, in a healthy pluralistic government he’d be censured and expelled

I have a bit more hope due the primary not being until June 23rd. No doubt the Dem machine in Brooklyn is daunting, but I don't think it's impossible.

I'm certain this isn't a new thought by any stretch, but it is pretty easy to note that Newsom fans and 'pragmatic' Dems never comment in the same volume under direct citations of Newsom's bigoted positions compared to when trans people say they'll never vote for him.

The “Tehran Square” Hegseth refers to here does not exist. He’s probably thinking of Tahrir Square in Cairo. Azadi Square would be the rough equivalent in Iran.

On March 8, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations. Six male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed. @DeptofWar #OpSouthernSpear

We’re still murdering people in “drug boats” even as we start a new war in Iran. Six people today.

The House and Senate each get a week off each month in order to do work in their own districts. The level of work actually done varies immensely from elected to elected.

@vancebosticforny8.bsky.social is also on Bsky. He's active regularly, and his posts get low engagement. If you want his challenge of Jeffries to have a better chance of success, I recommend following him and engaging with his posts.
You can even ask questions about his campaign and stances.

There may be more nominations and HR 7147 might get a 4th motion to invoke cloture, but aside from that, it looks to be a thankfully (grading on a curve) chill legislative week.

A 'shooter' as CYBERCOM chief: Former officials see risks, opportunity in Rudd's nomination - Breaking Defense
Breaking Defense talked to nine sources from the CYBERCOM community about the challenges Army general Josh Rudd will face if confirmed.
Second, there is one nomination this week for Lt. General Joshua Rudd to be promoted to General and lead US Cyber Command & the NSA. Breaking Defense has a really interesting article about this and the internal cautiousness felt by giving this role to someone with very little cyber background.

First off, Trump really wants John Thune to push the SAVE Act through and has said he won't sign anything into law until it's passed. Great thread on all of that here:

It's Sunday, which means its time for the preview of fascist bills this week and...honestly, this is looking to be a quiet week. The House is off until next Monday, and the Senate is mostly looking at a big housing bill with no fascism in it. Two things to watch though:

Democrats are going to fund and support this war. Like every enabling and collaborative stunt they pull, this is yet another opportunity to recognize they aren’t an opposition party but a captured group that serves the interests of the same wealth and oligarchical classes as the Republicans.

Several years ago, Markwayne Mullin called the Trail of Tears a "volunteer walk" and has since doubled down. He is Native only on paper. Mullin replacing Kristi Noem is not something worth celebrating. Indigenous representation for DHS isn't something worth celebrating.
