Wikipedia gives a few different reasons for what the devs felt ‘rez’ stood for or symbolised for them but it seems to trace back to the fact the game was being designed in part around that song.

Apparently, based on old articles referenced on the game’s wikipedia page, they were using Rez among other songs in the game while making it but then Underworld didn’t want the songs in the game because it was about shooting stuff.

I cannot tell you how much doubt was consistently directed at the Gaza Health Ministry’s casualty numbers and how much pressure was put on news organizations to couch those numbers as unreliable.
