What exactly is these people's problem with Star Fleet Academy? I first heard of it because of people vocally complaining about it. And since it seems to be largely the worst people, and I can recognize patterns, that has me interested in it.

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.

Absolutely! I love seeing all of the art you post, and I am *still* discovering new (to me) artists to follow. As this fandom transitions from what it was in its heydey to whatever it's destined to eventually be, you are a though-line, and keep constantly greasing the wheels. To mix metaphors.
