"Elective" also doesn't mean purely cosmetic, either. People sometimes regret e.g. knee replacements and back surgeries, at much higher rate than transition regret! People can regret lifesaving heart & cancer treatments!
I was in terminal egg stage when it was released and I deliberately steered clear of it until after I started transitioning because I knew I wasn't going to be able to handle it (which probably should have told me something, honestly...) I'm glad I watched it when I did, it made me feel less alone.
Wooo, congrats!
I don't know why I still instinctively cling to boymoding on errands as being the "safe", "easy" option when it always winds up being so much less pleasant than the alternative.
The reason is because they are the best character.
Extremely correct opinions.

They say these things because fundamentally they do not believe other people are entitled to equality. To these people oppression is just the natural state of affairs. Logically, leaving the oppressed to suffer is morally neutral and any gesture of support is going above and beyond what is deserved.
This is known as posting "the Fool's Banger"
I already did one, but also: my face is no longer perpetually locked in a scowl regardless of my mood.
Yes! I wasn't even sure I would feel better, or different, but within a couple days it was eye-opening.
I didn't know Louis CK had a new special.
My world is no longer flat and lifeless and I can be present in it in a way I haven't been able to for decades. I am aware of my body and my place in space and can take in the world in all of its depth and color, seeing and experiencing it in ways I had long since forgotten.
It shouldn't fall to trans people to explain to cis people why creating laws that effectively amount to "If you have or ever had a penis, you must behave this way; If you have, or ever had a vagina, you must behave this other way" is horrifically dangerous for everyone's rights.
I got pretty burnt out on StS so I wasn't honestly expecting much but I've been pleasantly surprised.
Even if you were critical of Iran's government, recent weeks have largely vindicated them. They are unambiguously the good guys in this conflict--and arguably, by extension, past conflicts too.
If that statement upsets anyone then they should look at what side they're on and do some soul searching.
Mentions of Jesus and Christians appear in the historical record within living memory of his purported execution. I don't see why it would be easier to accept that early Christians convinced people of the existence of a fictional person as opposed to them capitalizing on a minor local figure.
That seems to be the point that's being made: virtually the entire biography of Jesus appears to be created out of whole cloth by cultists for religious reasons. That does not prove that Jesus's entire existence is fake, only that it was unnotable until his followers elevated it.
lol, I stared at this screengrab trying to figure out what was so crazy like "yeah I don't really fw Christianity myself but this seems like the best possible spin on it" until I saw who was posting it and why
The state of sex education in the US is so dire that the majority of states won't even talk about this in health classes.
There's a certain type of centrist that's convinced that it's not Serious Politics unless someone is being hurt, and believes the main point of Politics is finding consensus for the most socially acceptable victims. Any concept that we try to reduce or eliminate harms is fundamentally "unrealistic".
Lia Thomas was ranked 12th in multiple events in her first two years of college. She only dropped out of the men's top 100 after she started HRT, for obvious reasons.
Her championship came during an off year after covid disruptions. Her winning time would not have medaled in a typical year.
I looked through baby names of a similar vintage to my birth name. When I saw Shelley I chuckled to myself and said "well that's cute, but I can't name myself that." Then a second later I went "...wait, why the fuck couldn't I name myself that?"
Oh, also we're male enough that if we're into women we're just "spicy straights" but un-male enough that if we're into men we're self-hating conversion therapy victims who are erasing the gay male community.
Don't forget we're also reinforcing dated stereotypes about women's behavior while simultaneously being too male-socialized to ever conform to expected standards of behavior for women.
Should we be nice to trans people?
Unfortunately, the data is biased by the fact most studies support trans people. However, if we exclude all studies that support trans people, you'll note that the data is actually inconclusive, and that means we should be mean to trans people!
I support Gavin Newsom in everything but him running for president.
" but but but what if i end up supporting someone who's only pretending?"
what if you shut the fuck up and get real problems
I don't know about you but for me estrogen is almost better than caffeine for times like that, it's crazy good.
