same reason i'm interested in the professor character. because i love school. not because it portrays a middle-aged+ person as complex, multifaceted, and highly motivated in his personal journey. it would have been better if they made him a one-note mentor to the 18 year old characters, actually

when i play video games on my adult only server with my adult friends who talk about sex and taxes, i want nothing more than to play as a fictional 18 year old who's in school. i'm so unbelievably interested in occult Euphoria.

all that being said the decrepit corpse hand as a weapon is a+ character design. perhaps the only good thing to come out of the gatchafication of deadlock.

like i wouldn't care if the juvenile budget Wednesday Addams necromancer-in-training came AFTER a seasoned (ideally adult) character who can teach us about the world and its magic, and not just the magical school system that's been played to death in a million other books and movies and shows

the necromancer leaks are so disappointing 2 me bc occultism and dark magic are so integral to the game's core aesthetic. there's so much potential for worldbuilding in a necromancer character. it feels wasteful to make her a young, basic, pretty schoolgirl for this DL h*gwarts au nobody wanted

every time i see the fencer and necromancer leaks i frown... and like coming after the last batch of new characters whose designs to me are all much weaker than the rest of the cast it's like what's happening in there... cater to me specifically and only with every new character or else
