At a college show in like, 1998(?), Soul Asylum played Runaway Train, the crowd went apeshit when it was over and chanted "one more time" for so long, they just played it again.
One of two shows I've attended (that weren't recording for a live release) where they played the same song twice. Gorillaz played Clint Eastwood in the middle of the set and a second time for the encore.
Honestly, it worked.
I want to say tickets were like $25, maybe less. The night of the show people were offering $200-300 because by then Clint Eastwood had permeated every format.
A friend got me into a meet and greet, but we hit SO much traffic we missed it. They saved us an album flat signed by the band though!
