As far as I know the people doing RFA in the US are 1/3 endocrinologists, 1/3 surgeons and 1/3 IR. It is easy to learn - anyone who has been doing thyroid procedures (US and FNA) can learn - no secret recipes.
Come to our NASOIE meeting on 2/28/26 in Miami - will teach you.
We already give our patients the option for minimally invasive treatment… hopefully this will start become more widespread.

My favorite talk of #Endo2025 is @liisagalea.bsky.social but also the entire sex differences session full of things we know but for some reason have ignored: females are different than males. Not more complex. Not more dynamic. Different. It’s not sexist to use funds to study this; it’s necessary.
Our fellows gave outstanding presentations at their posters at #ENDO2025. Dr Joanne Lin & Dr Ryan Conard presented several posters today. 2 on work w RNA expression algorithms for identifying aggressive thyroid cancer & 1 on aggressive stellar lesions.

This study confirms my anecdotal/clinical experience that about ~ 50% of patients feel better with the addition of T3 to their regimen for #hypothyroidism 🦋
[ #Thyroid function tests still need to be maintained in the normal range ]
#RFA works for toxic adenomas - resolving #hyperthyroidism & reducing volume of #thyroidnodule. Interestingly, this study (unlike prior studies) had similar results no matter the initial volume.
