Mary Dennett was born on this day in 1872 in Worcester, Mass. Dennett was a women’s rights and women’s suffrage activist and pioneer in birth control and sex education. Through her efforts, information on birth control was exempted from the Comstock Act. /1

With all the negative stuff coming out of Washington, it’s good to be in Worcester rallying for a great cause.
