I’m on there, whilst walking down a street in 2012 after parking the car I was driving at the time (it’s on there too). My current car has been snapped 3 times, once in the city I worked in and twice outside my house.

I've been using the screen name of Autoverse for over a decade. Whilst most of my interactions on this platform are related to automobiles, I don't think our world should be dominated by them. Also on IG as autoverse.

Qualifying for the Patriot Games?
The bodykit on that was designed by the same chap that did the TWR Supercat. www.evo.co.uk/jaguar/20673...
For some reason I had the random urge to seek out music by Idlewild. youtu.be/9qmnV6R7WxI
I’m very much in the south of England, the dairy they operate out of in my county is 30 miles north of me. I guess their drivers have rather long routes, especially as they state all deliveries are by 7am.
Out of curiosity, I checked out who delivers in my area and it turns out that firm does (twice a week). Looking at thier prices it seems to be a bargain, especially as there’s no delivery fee.
Happened to see a milk truck at midnight (transit or something, I wasn’t wearing my specs so it was a blur), made me think how ubiquitous they once were but now it’s noteworthy to see one.
Having had a mess about with the configurator on the MB website, you can opt to have the bonnet body coloured (for free). There‘s not actually that much in the way of customisation apart from dropping £10k on any colour that isn’t red or white (At least not for cars being offered to the UK).
Out of curiosity I checked out the Mercedes uk site, the price starts from £241,350 with red & white paint being the basic colours (free). And any other colour is an additional £10,200, it’s all about the mark up on the options list.
I like those chunky wheels, they fill the arches well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a matching luggage set available for this. It’s very much verging on vulgarity, it certainly is an acquired taste and they clearly know thier target demographic.
Google Street View screen shot showing the sliver Escort in a suburban driveway, the number plate has been blurred out.
I looked up the location I saw it on Street View, to see if I could figure out how long it was there. This image is from 2023 (my photo is from 2024) and it’s sporting a different set of wheel trims to the ones in my photo.
Screenshot of an IG stories post, showing a side profile of sliver Ford Escort with black bumpers and black paint on the b-pillars. There’s text above that reads “This now belongs to @hubnutvids” and below there’s an image credit of @autoverse.
I was looking through some old IG posts and realised I‘ve photographed @misshubnut.bsky.social ‘s Escort years before @hubnut.bsky.social acquired it.
The silver trim makes think it looks kinda like a warthog.
It’s keitora time! This vid by Mike Festiva is worth watching, he takes his Suzuki Carry with a home made camper out for a little trip.

“Self praise is no honour” - Whilst that phrase is meant to imply those who do so are being egotistical, I’d disagree with it in this instance. It’s too easy to be critical, which can lead to a negative feedback loop. It can be positive to step back from something you’ve done and to appreciate it.
Looks at home there, I could see this as being a location used for the press release pics.
To me it’s odd that folks (predominately in the US) deem it as odd to back into a parking space. For me it’s second nature, it was part of learning to drive and I‘ve worked at locations where it‘s policy to do so. Although if I do have the opportunity to drive from one spot into another, I will.
The paint work looks great in this image.
I’ve encountered maybe two examples of the FD2, one of those was parked outside the house Jane Austen died in.
Looks like it needs to be on the receiving end of some Criminal Mischief™.
On the flip side I’ve seen a JDM import Civic Type-R (fresh off the boat), which has little Union Flags on it because Honda in Japan wanted to boast it was made in the UK.
There was a Civic that parked on my street a few years ago that wore sticker that said “Made in Japan, refined in England“. Which of course was a load of tosh, as it was only 80 or so miles away from the factory it was built in.
It’s a shame they seem to have ditched the logo in favour of just spelling out Škoda, that conveys a lack of confidence in the logo and how much brand recognition it has.
This is very timeless scene, the only real clue that it’s a recent photo is the two copies of your book (We Deserve This) on the bookshelf.
Algorithms on YT & IG really are a dark art, a short vid I filmed for a friend’s account has had about 520 or so views on YT after a couple of days. Yet same footage was posted to IG and got about 52k views in a day.
Just noticed it uses the ubiquitous 300ZX headlights, which makes perfect sense in this application.
Popped round to my friend’s place today and found myself behind the camera filming some stuff for his YT.

I could believe this was an Aston Martin.
The only time I’ve fallen asleep in the cinema was during a screening of The Hobbit. I think I was just exhausted at the time but I’ve never felt the desire to try and watch it again.
