Yes.
You choose your leaders and place your trust,
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust,
You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns
A digital radio display. BBC radio 4 is playing. The flavour text is presumably "rigorous analysis" but there aren't enough characters for that to display so it says "rigorous anal"
Some geek at the BBC has great fun working out the character width of standard displays on radios to make it say rude things

Every transphobic man is a misogynistic attack dog just looking for an 'acceptable' outlet. Every transphobic woman is an enabler and encourager of this violence.
Can we all see the irony of the guy with " keep men out of women's spaces" literally invading her personal space?

Transgender laird takes to the battlements over tourist lodge The Daily Telegraph9 Mar 2026By Telegraph Reporter Samantha Kane, also known as Lady Carbisdale A TRANSGENDER laird is locked in a planning row with a neighbour over plans for a new holiday let in the Scottish Highlands. Samantha Kane, who became the self-styled Lady Carbisdale after buying Carbisdale Castle near Ardgay in 2022, has objected to neighbour Rupert Haig-thomasβs plans to build a lodge for tourists. Under the proposals, the lodge would include three bedrooms, a kitchen-diner, a snug sitting room, a living room, a boot room, and several bathrooms. But Kane said the plans were not suitable for the area, which is surrounded by ancient forest and is in an area of outstanding beauty. Cardisdale Castle βshould be cherished and protectedβ, Kane said, telling The Telegraph: βI want to preserve it for future generations, I donβt want anything to harm the castle. βIt is a complete disregard for the area and history of the land.β In planning documents, Kane said the plans would βdevastate the castleβ, was βnot in keeping with the designβ and would βinterfere with the aesthetic setting of Carbisdale Castleβ. A second objection from Kaneβs company, Carbisdale Castle Ltd, added: βThe lodge will be adverse to the historic listed building and it will negatively impact the setting and the nature and our business model here at Carbisdale Castle.
You would never know it, but the Editor's Code of Conduct says that someone's status as trans should only be mentioned if relevant to the story.

Well, they're no friends of mine.

I find it really frustrating that BBC4 are putting all the Ibsen stuff on in a graveyard slot. Yeah yeah iPlayer blah blah - perhaps I'd like to actually watch them on the telly at a reasonable time?
A lovely little runaround!
