Getting back to posting on here again- how are we doing?

Here’s a fun piece I finished and brought to a recent art show; Vesuvianite and Peridot look so lovely together! :)

A few new pieces that I’ve created that are available. Since I ended up getting sick recently, I decided to back out of an art show I signed up for the day before I was supposed to go set up. Initially I felt bad about sacrificing my booth fee, but I’m thankful I listened to my body.

I am so pleased with how this entire piece came out, and although it differs from my original sketch, it has paved the way to new inspiration of future designs!

A discarded book; found by the artist on her walk. Torn into two sections, the black hardcover reads “The American government” with the authors name, Magruder. The second section is open to a random page. The two book halves are slightly muddy from being discarded on the wet and slightly dead grass.

Everything is set onto a soldering board which has been discolored from jewelers torch usage.

Today reminded me that it’s okay to be happy during hard times.

A bench jewelers work in progress of a rabbit pendant. Made by layering cut pieces of silver, the work is currently in the process of assembling and figuring out placement of pieces. Once finished, the piece will depict a rabbit running through tall grass with a single round happy green peridot stone to a vent the work. The frame of the scenery of the work features a triangular shaped frame made by grouping thin wires into bunches of 3. The work is placed on a soldering block that is stained with fire scale from continuous use, and above the work is a soldering pick, which has a charred spot from being accidentally burned at one point. An artists’ tools transform after being worn from years of work.

Work in progress of this rabbit piece! Today I’ll be assembling the tall grassy pieces and figuring out placement of all the small elements before soldering. Not sure if I want to add copper granules, gold granules, or both.

A piece of silver jewelry- a pendant, resting against a textured floral coffee cup made by a fellow artist. The pendant features a white moonstone with two long leaves on either side giving the illusion of holding the stone. The leaves cross at the beginning of their stems, and above where the leaves cross is a single round faceted stone surrounded by a structural loop that connects leaf stems and provides a space for the chain loops to be placed once the piece has been polished and finished. The piece with its light and white stones against the silver creates a glowing atmosphere surrounded by a simply lit workspace. Next to the pendant with points of contact being the points of the two leaves fabricated from metal is a flux brush used for dusting the workspace.

Work in progress piece. Soldering finished, stone setting finished, now all that’s left is polishing and adding the final loops for chain. White Moonstone & Topaz. ✨🩵✨

First floral teardrop of 2025 is complete! February wasn’t as productive as I would’ve liked because of how cold my workbench area was, but now I am good to get my butt in gear creating inventory for show & gallery season.

A young cat, sleeping on a soft grey blanket. The grey on the upper half of the cats body matches the blanket. And the underside of the cat such as the bottom half of its face, belly and paws are all white. The cat is resting with her eyes closed, white whiskers relaxed. The front paws are tucked in all cute-like, and under one of her feet can be seen, exposing her pink toe beans. The cat is cuddled up next to a flannel button shirt that is balled up messy on the bed.

Showing the cat from the shoulders up on a light colored red, you can see a clear image of her deep green eyes looking inquisitively at the one taking the photo. Light grey hairs curl out from the cats ears, and the cats expression shows that of slight curiosity.

Originally I was working on a cuff bracelet that started out from a melted silver Ingot, but as I was pulling it through the rolling mill it snapped in two! I was upset at the time, but ended up turning the broken bracelet into a pair of earrings!

This piece was truly a test of my torch control and understanding of mixed metals and their melting temperatures. My designs all start from messy sketches and It’s so amazing to see them come to life!

A mixed metals hummingbird jewelry piece featured in front of a background of leafy spring foliage, the pendant is a broken circle crafted with a fabricated sterling silver textured twig that has various flowers growing around it. In the center is the hummingbird, created from soldering various layers of sterling and copper together to show different colors of the hummingbirds plumage, the bird has a solid gold eye, an aspect of the artists love for the individual soul of each animal on this sacred earth. The silver flowers have stamens and center parts created with copper. The piece has a sparkling green faceted moissanite gem in the right hand corner, and the chain holding the pendant allows the piece to be suspended in the air.

I wish I would’ve gotten more high quality photos of this after I made it, but I was on a time crunch and it had sold a few days later. A hummingbird pendant accented with a green Moissanite. Crafted from sterling silver, copper and 18k Gold for the hummingbird’s eye.

That’s where I am. I don’t really want to do customs as much anymore unless it’s someone wanting one of my unique past designs, but sometimes you just have to push through for the almighty dollar. 🙄

A recently finished sterling silver ring featuring a round juicy purple amethyst stone in the middle with two long leaves on either side in alternating directions. The ring has a notched wire border framing the ring and creating an open style framing for the band. The ring is being displayed on a hand stone setting tool with wooden handle. The setting tool with ring on it is resting atop a woven steel mesh that is used for soldering operations. Showing the finished ring amongst aspects of the jewelers workbench gives a feeling of the love and labor involved with creating jewelry by hand.

Took on a last minute ring for a client for some last minute money. Sometimes I feel really hypocritical because I’ll close my custom orders and then can’t resist when I look at my calendar and see my car insurance is due soon. 😅

It’s February in western NY, we’re all pretty unmotivated from the lack of sunlight and fresh air, so here’s one of my designs that I make often: Birch bark under glass with white Topaz. 💌 more often I’ll use a wider figaro chain, but this is what I had on hand at the time.
