It's a political fantasy. Only had one full request so far. The agent really liked it but it wasn't what she was looking for. And so querying continues.
Future me hates past me for exactly this reason.
In terms of other writing, I'm querying one novel and have two more in progress. A short story of mine came out in January in the Tales of the Black Piper anthology. That's the only thing I've published outside of the 24hr anthologies.
Only one is mine (I wish I could write that fast!). The entire group gets together either in person or on discord and writes. All we know in advance is the theme. We can plan but no actual writing. As people finish they share drafts for others to edit. It's an intense 24 hours, but so much fun.
A new post all about writing a trilogy. After finishing the Sisters of Jade Trilogy, I wanted to share some of my notes about the process.
Is it easy? Nope!
Is it satisfying? Hell yeah!
