Big into blues/rock and imaginative poetry. An analogue man in a digital world. I don't know what the question is, but the answer is vinyl, and the printed word and a bit of photography. There's enough for all, but the rich want it all.

McCartney was a bit wary of approaching Lennon with the composition, as their relationship had become quite strained by the time of the late 1960s. But Lennon knew a hit when he heard one, and "Hey Jude" became yet another Beatles #1 on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Beatles "Hey Jude" 1968
McCartney wrote the basics of the song when going to visit Cynthia Lennon & John's young son Julian shortly after John & Cynthia split up. The song was originally titled "Hey Jule" but its focus widened & became a positive song of battling the odds in a tense situation.

A bit like the 'Curates Egg', good in parts. They were a bit too smooth for me.

Despite the album's favourable outcome on the charts, Scholz vowed never to issue an album before it was ready. And, true to his word it would take another eight years before Boston released their third album.

Boston "Don't Look Back" 1978
Being a studio idealist, Tom Scholz ensured that every beat, hook, chords & notes were on the money. Despite this, he said that the LP was not ready, claiming that the label rush-released it. But it still went to #1 in the US & # 9 in the UK.

It's an excellent album which took 'Mac' further away from their late 60's blues origins and into the West Coast territorial sound.

Mick Fleetwood said "It's almost insane in retrospect considering the high risk , but somehow Christine and all of us just 'knew.'" The album "Fleetwood Mac" released in 1975, was their first to feature the new lineup, and was an instant success, peaking at #1 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

In January 1975 Mick Fleetwood took Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks to meet John & Christine McVie at a Hollywood restaurant to see if the pair would be a fit for the band. BY the end of the evening they were hired without playing a note.

Yeah, it is quite tasty, but it disappointed both, Zappa & Beefheart fans alike!

Taken during the 'Bongo Fury 'sessions in 1975, & was one of their last collaborations they met each other as classmates at Antelope Valley High School in the 1950's. Sharing a taste for music, B-movies & zany wordplay storytelling, which was reflected in their output.

Yes, unfortunately, so many talented musicians fell to the false promise of drugs & alcohol.

It sort of hangs around with a sort of ghostly presence, with no real movement on the streets. Marketing men cynically make use of the whole hippie scene at times, to push various commercial products. Dollars over flowers.

Yeah! The hippie vision, was well meant, but was never going to have a realistic future. Others, with a lot less good intentions sucked the beauty and strength out of the dream.

Jagger, released the butterflies, as you say, as a tribute to Brian Jones at the Hyde Park concert. Altamont was a much nastier affair, between that gig and the Manson murders, those two events seemed to herald the passing of the hippie dream.

King Crimson "In The Court Of The Crimson King" 1969
The group played on the bill of the legendary 1969 Hyde Park concert, headlined by the Rolling Stones, their performance seems to have boosted their profile, as the album went to #5 in the UK & the US Top 30. Quite an achievement for a debut album.

Eagles "One Of These Nights" 1975
This, their fourth album, has all the Eagles trademarks, sharp production sound, smooth well crafted songs, wonderful harmonies & strong narrative lyrics. This became their first US #1 album. And the title track gave them their second US #1 single.
