I just checked the “why”—vodka doesn’t contribute to gluten formation as much as water does. Thus, crust isn’t as “tough.”
Yup! Even amounts of cold vodka and water. It does seem to impact the crust texture.

Continuing the arduous genealogical task of determining the ancestral lines of William Thurman (abt 1783-1861) of Franklin Co, TN. I’ve looked at so many Thurman/Thurmond/Turman families that I’m thinking I need to commit to a surname and migration study. 😳
