Okay. Time to close out of Sims and delete some CC that looked better in the pictures than it does in my game 🤷‍♀️

100 Ogre Babies it is! This is baby #7, Benny. Maybe today I'll make it past 10 babies for the first time ever in a 100 baby challenge attempt! (Hah. Hahaha.)

Had to suck it up and make my once a month Walmart run this morning. Good news is I came home with a new Zoro! The detailed one, I've had the Funk for ages. Detailed Zoro is pretty.

All along in Sims games you've only ever needed to read the item descriptions and the moodlets to have a good idea of how the actual devs feel about things. Not the company, the devs.

Some TS4 builds. I finally finished Glimmerbrook today. Rebuilt the bar because I didn't really like my old rebuild. Eh, you know how it goes. Got it all on the Gallery now. If you would like tray files for any of these, feel free to let me know.

Bought is the key word here. I definitely HAVE all of the store content. Some of it I enjoy more than others. None of it was ever worth what they are still to this day charging for it.

I know I was joking about the Sims 3 store the other day. To be clear, I never bought anything from it. Stuff was wildly over priced even then.

True. But eww. Think of all we got in late stuff packs for $10. All the items and gameplay in Paranormal Stuff. That same $10 does not equate to a bedroom set for me.

The creator has a say in what the price is set as though, as noted on thier blog post. Note that that creator is the only one with a $10 kit.

I love that game, I really do. The ability to convert earned gold to gems was the best choice they made. That said, they have thier money grabs too - $20 mount skins, you know? Yes, can farm for them, it just me griping about micro transactions in general.

For those calling the marketplace the next Sims 3 store, you're not wrong. Also, we're not getting that. We're getting lipstick, shoes, and a $10 bedroom set. In beige.

Sims 3 store at least had stupid bangers like the Not So Routine machine that had the decency to make me laugh.

Not that being able to earn thier moo money tokens would make this better. It's still scummy. But it wouldn't be quite so solid of a pay wall to lock these mods and CC behind. Right now... yeah. Looks like permanent pay wall. Congrats.

As in, it's always faster to buy thier tokens with real money, but patients and gameplay can get you what you want. TS3 store - sometimes I got points after buying an xpak I think? It was very limited. EA has always been a money grab, but it gets worse with every year that goes by.

The other two games I play and enjoy that have mircrotransaction options are Dreamlight Valley and Guild Wars 2. It's never my favorite thing. Both of these games have ways for you to earn thier in game money/tokens/gems by completing in game tasks. I doubt this round of EA will do that.

Well we knew it was coming but EA taking a 70% cut is wild 💀
