and perhaps this is my biased opinion, where all the people i interact with are the reason i cant afford to live in the city i work in and I have to laugh and nod along when techie number 400 thinks hes the funniest guy in the world

you cannot see service jobs as a position where as an employee you are in some way interacting with society as a *community member* because that is not even close to how you're seen by the majority of the population you help

and tbh 90% of the ppl i have to help are not nice, they are not cordial, and they treat me the same if im kind or if im bare bones, idrgaf about making them feel funny or heard thats not my job 🤷‍♂️ pay me more
