It really drives the point home that they aren't human and these aren't their true appearances, they're "disguises" meant to make them more personable and approachable
I love how even in their more human-like appearances, the seraphim characters still have aspects of their designs that feel "off", mainly a lack of a defined nose shape, unnatural skin and eye colors, and eyes that appear on wings, clothing, and hair #HazbinHotel
Lucifer has to be one of the most misunderstood characters in the hellaverse. Way too many people want him to be something he's not 🙄

Something that angers me is whenever Fizz/Lucifer decides to wear feminine clothes, folks argue that their characterization is ruined. It reeks of homophobia & misogyny

My entire point is that this fandom makes it virtually impossible for people to discuss their opinions without fear of being attacked for not being overly positive, which is a bad thing as it alienates fans. We should be encouraging different opinions, not chasing people away for having them
The problem is that people are so hypersensitive that even the most clearly stated opinions often get completely misconstrued as hate, and the problem with only talking to friends is that there are fewer chances for an actual discussion and a higher likelihood of it just becoming an echo chamber
It's an increasingly prevalent problem I've noticed in online fandom spaces lately where the *second* you express an opinion about something that's anything other than positive, you immediately get lumped in with the haters. It's not a good thing for fans to be afraid of expressing their opinions
I don't think it's right that you're "not allowed" to talk about things like this online, though. And I'm not talking about the classic (actual) hater methodology of saying something incredibly inflammatory/derogatory about the fans or creators of a show and claiming it's criticism
It's definitely because of the insane hatedom making people hypersensitive to criticism, but it's a problem nonetheless. You can be a fan of something and have criticisms of it; you don't have to act like it's flawless, because it's more than likely not. Having genuine criticism ≠ being a hater
As much as I love hazbin and helluva boss, I do have criticisms of certain writing choices, but nowhere feels like a safe space to talk about them without immediately being slapped with the "hater" label. I think that's a pretty big problem in this fandom

It's the strangest thing; I'm not tired of the hellaverse itself, but I'm definitely starting to feel tired of the fandom. There's just so much negativity lately, and the real world is negative enough as it is. It just...doesn't really feel like much of an escape anymore. Which sucks.
Imagine Lucifer transforms into a woman as a disguise to go out in public because he's extremely nervous to be around sinners post-s2, and it completely fucks with Alastor's perception of him (2/2)
