The first regional of regulation I has come to a close in Milwaukee and 🇺🇸 Andrew Ding is your new champion! The early meta in a new regulation is always exciting, and Lunala + Miraidon appears to be a very scary combo. Make sure to check out the results!

Solid end to Reg G. I've been hating Reg G since June of last year and I still don't like it. That being said, our team is very fun to use. I don't anticipate much use of the team this close to the end of the format but my DMs are open for any questions.

I think I was playing pretty well for most of the tournament. Overall, I am very please with how I played. However, that being said, I do not think I played very well in top 4 vs Joe. I got leads right in top 4...

Next, Dylan tacked on sash flutter and scarf chi-yu just to be able to play some games and they ended up being the correct mons and we got Rily and Daniel to use the team as well. Hence, the 10 minute team.

Next, we wanted a grass type, I said venusaur is a horrible a pokemon and suggested Brute Bonnet after seeing Jamie Boyt owning with it at Stockholm.

I got in a call with Dylan and he suggested Koraidon since Iron Crown is very good into matchups that Korai struggles with and Korai enjoys having a priority blocker.

I also then looked at the top teams being used and noticed how almost every team had a sash pokemon that would get KO'd by tachyon cutter(rockpon, smeargle, whimsicott). So I wanted to build around Indeedee-F and special attack booster Iron Crown.

Teambuilding:
2 weeks before Atlanta I watched the Stockholm Regional and I noticed how Roberto Parente's Iron Crown was able to solo the calm mind Kyogre matchup and thought that was cool.

Yes, the IVs in the paste are the ones I used at the event and are the ones in the rental. So yes I used a 31 attack IV Iron Crown.

Big shout out to my friends who I wouldn't be here without @arkanevgc.bsky.social, @chillinwithdylan.bsky.social and @captainkcorn.bsky.social. They came to the regional with me and brought the same team. 3 of the 4 of us made top cut and then I got to play Daniel in finals(I got owned)

Debating even making post about San An. Went 4-4, could’ve easily been a 5-3 or 6-2 if I played better but I was barely awake after round 4. Not enough sleep Friday night, team wasn’t doing what it was supposed to, prep wasn’t what it should’ve been. See y’all in Atlanta :P
