The Ravens are, of course, just MinMaxxing.
The Ravens are, of course, just MinMaxxing.
So, the Raiders now have Wednesday (cap compliance) and Friday (salary guaranteeing) deadlines to try to figure out what to do with Maxx Crosby, with the Ravens now publicly saying he's too hurt to sign.
Cool. Cool cool cool.
It has something to do with his previous contract being shortened during the renegotiation -- kind of like being cut in advance, I suppose.
Updated comp picks so far. Big deal for Odafe Oweh putting the Chargers into the round-three crew.
Listen, Evans fullback dives are going to be the new meta.
Adding Tua Tagovailoa to their QB room to go along with fellow lefty Michael Penix was just the first move. The Falcons will also now have a new logo for 2026.
That appears to be it, yeah.
That's fair, but Trent Williams is a Trent Williams.
Apparently, Hufanga moved up from a 5th to a 4th for San Francisco. And a mysterious sixth-round pick for Philly. Otherwise, OTC was on top of it, as usual.
I swear to god, if Vederian Lowe is plan B in case the 49ers can't come to an agreement with Trent Williams...
This will change rapidly as players are signed, but here's the early projected compensatory picks after day -2 of free agency.
That Linderbaum contract is something else...

Mike Evans is SUCH a good fit in San Francisco, it's not even funny.
I'd have to dig deep to triple check this, but I believe this is the biggest % jump in highest paid player at a position in the salary cap era.
Creed Humphrey was the previous highest paid center, at $18m per!
Despite Caleb Williams' breakout, DJ Moore had a 64.7% catchable target rate in 2025 that was 10th lowest among heavily targeted wide receivers.
Josh Allen had the 4th highest on-target pass percentage (78.9%) and could be a transformative quarterback pairing for him.

You'd assume so, for sure.
Hey! We ran a guest column from @danpizzuta.bsky.social on FTN looking at his Target Yards Added stat for WR prospects in this year's draft.

No, it would also be a shock if the team let go a player they just signed to a three-year deal as a major part of their rebuild who made the Pro Bowl in his first season with the team.
Hard to fully grade the Trent McDuffie trade until we see the extension he signs; the Rams are giving up quite a bit of trade capital in order to pay a guy.
To be clear, he's a guy worth paying, even if the Chiefs never seem to want to pay their corners. But we'll see where that number ends up.
Drew Dalman retiring one year into a three-year deal is a shock. A big part of what made Chicago work last year, and part of that massive offensive line overhaul.
At least it's early enough in the offseason for the Bears to act.
I believe you are, in fact, correct!
An offensive line would probably be beneficial to that plan!
Well, I guess the Texans decided they wanted to be today's main characters. David Montgomery in, Tytus Howard and Juice Scruggs out.
Hard to really evaluate any of it until we figure out what the hell their overall plan ~is~, really.
New at @ftnfantasy.com from @brykno.bsky.social: Speed Scores for 2026 RB at the combine, as Mike Washington of Arkansas comes very close to the all-time record.
ftnfantasy.com/nfl/speed-sc...
Mike Washington with the unofficial 4.33! At 223 pounds!
That's a speed score of 126.9, which would be the second-best in NFL Combine history.
Ooh, a 4.51 for Adam Randall. He's a big boy; that's a heck of a time. Speed Score 111.2.
A 4.37 for Jeremiyah Love in his first 40.
That's a speed score of 116.3, one of the 40 best since they went to electronic timing. And he may have more in the tank.
A 4.6 for Emmett Johnson on his first 40 -- that's a speed score of 90.2, which is very bad. Uh-oh.
