YUM, I'll have to try this. I really like RG's white bean and cabbage soup that they posted about last Feb (or the Feb before, I'm losing count of the years). p.s. By "abuelas," did you mean alubia blanca?
I'm going to figure out a succinct way to say this on my "signs of justice" postcards (with what little white space there is on them).
I like it (leftover soup) for breakfast every now and then.
I read this last Feb and I still think about it.

Title page to Gore Vidal's novel "Burr".
Recommended by @therewillbebooks.bsky.social , (and it's from 1973, but it's the first one that came to mind):
The novel "The New Manifesto" by Sam Ernst.
So true! Happened with my 2018 Outback recently.๐ก P.S. BTW, may I recommend two things? This novel: THE NEW MANIFESTO, by @samernst.bsky.social . (So much to love about it. Lots of humor, wit, beautiful prose, & tight bits of flash fiction.) And this book podcast: @therewillbebooks.bsky.social .
What kind of soup? I often prefer a good bowl of left-over soup for breakfast!
Who were the "many legal scholars" who agree w him, I wonder.
The '25 horror novel Wake Up and Open Your Eyes, by Clay McLeod Chapman, often comes to my mind...

I just found it on bookshop.org
Is this one too, do you think? (Bought it the other day.)
That's beautiful!
What a lovely observation!

Beautiful! Here's mine. Milo. [He's not a Russian Blue, though (is yours?), just a scrappy spoiled rescue.]
Your cat won't eat those flowers??
That unsounded ocean you gasp in, is Life; those sharks, your foes; those spades, your friends; and what between sharks and spades you are in a sad pickle and peril, poor lad.
(Reading in progress:) Bring Up the Bodies (Mantel), Saki short story collection, The Singularity (Buzzati).
Working on these 3 @therewillbebooks.bsky.social recommendations.
What book did you give up on? (I know that's hard to do!) Or did you end up finishing it?
Yay! I did get to these! Looking forward to listening!
This just made my day!
