Occasionally, novels speak for their times: The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, Catch-22, The Handmaid’s Tale. In Crow’s Field does that and more.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the graduate residence building (apparently slated for demolition) on LIttle Clarendon Street, Oxford, where I once lived for two years, and which plays an important role in my novel *The World of After* (@cormorantbooks.bsky.social).

YA Review: WE BURY NOTHING by @kateblairauthor 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 highly recommend Dual timeliness (I love when chapters roll between the past amd present and then it all collides at the end) I didn't know Canada had German POW camps in Canada! It's as if Agatha Cristie wrote historical fiction. History + muder mystery. The characters are imperfect and compelling and strong and vulnerable. Plot twist at the end I didn't see coming. Pub tag line: "Bodies or secrets — nothing stays buried forever." Pub by @cormorantbooks #YABooks #kidlit #weburynothing
