Krátké shrnutí ve vlákně:
Kritika “neschopnosti” EU v české domácí debatě tak míří víceméně mimo. Vychází spíš ze sympatií k machistickému stylu zahraniční politiky, který se neohlíží na pravidla a komplexní dopady. Je dominance takového stylu jednání v mezinárodní politice v českém praktickém zájmu? Těžko.
Rusko si nakonec může blahopřát i k víc rozdělené EU. Problém je na straně členských států, které těžko hledají shodu na společném zájmu a jak za ním diplomaticky a vojensky jít. Minimálně by to měla být bezpečná námořní plavba a bezpečné dodávky strategických surovin.
Chybějící #hnojiva ze Zálivu budou chybět jinde ve světě v nešťastnou dobu z hlediska zemědělského cyklu. Posílí to roli Ruska jako dodavatele a potravinové mocnosti. A bude živit jeho image jako ochránce "globální většiny".
Nejde ale jenom o ropu. Narušení dodávek plynu staví otazník nad rozhodnutím EU odstřihnout se od ruského #LNG. Unijní zákaz dodávek na základě krátkodobých kontraktů má vstoupit v platnost už v dubnu.
Rostoucí ceny #ropy jsou pro Kreml největší jackpot. Proti očekáváním plní státní rozpočet. Navíc vytvářejí tlak na uvolnění sankcí. Na to, že by teď Američané vyvíjely naRusko přes omezení prodejů vyšší tlak, který by ho mohl přitlačit k rozumné dohodě o příměří, můžeme zapomenout.
Tři velké zisky pro Rusko jsou 1) ekonomické a politické zisky ze surovin, 2) chybějící americké zbraně pro Evropu a 3) víc rozkolu mezi Evropany a napříč Atlantikem.
Skutečné dilema se jmenuje #Trump. Je nepředvídatelnější a vojensky intervenuje víc, než Kreml čekal. #MAGA měla působit chaos hlavně doma, ne ho exportovat ven. Zároveň ale správná dávka chaosu umožňuje Moskvě hrát ve svém stylu: nepřímo, improvizačně a v šedých zónách.
Rusko útoky na Írán odsoudilo, ale Teherán už pro něj není nepostradatelný partner. Na importu šahídů už Rusko nezávisí. Naopak nejspíš zpětně Íránu poskytlo know how z adaptace a nasazení na Ukrajině. Pokud se vztah zpřetrhá, bude to pro Moskvu bez fanfár, ale taky bez velkých ztrát.

Basic #takeaways: The likelihood of change is low in foreseeable future. The systemic changes under way create powerful path dependencies. Still, the #EU can take steps to further 'unpower' Putin's regime, including through secondary sanctions, and to invest in a peaceful future Russia.
