At this point, my feed is the greater book, writing, teaching, and library community and I could not be happier.
Why do our writer expectations get so ridiculous at the holidays? Itβs like: I have seventy five more things to do than normal and the kids are out of school but Iβll definitely finish this draft before new years no problem.

Amazing! My fifth grader heard you speak recently at her school and I was like: I met her at a YAMS once-isnβt she fancy? And she was like: SO fancy.
You canβt control things like going on submission or how many people buy your books. But you can control how much you write and how much effort you put into the writing community. Those gains might not be quantitative, but theyβre so rewarding.
Maybe play with Kidlit Faire, BookFaire, and/or giving it time to flourish?
