I live near several Gristedes supermarkets. They are already failing because they havenβt kept up with their competition. Iβm surprised these stores didnβt close a year ago when better alternatives (that are now jam-packed) moved into the neighborhood.
The βgood guy with a gunβ was a bad shot.
This was the plan the entire time and it was always going to be targeted towards Democratic run cities. Itβs not about law and order. Itβs about controlling by force the areas where Trump does not control by ideology.

I was so excited to see that book on the list! Congratulations to all involved!
The Fault Lines in Our Constitution should be read by every single adult who lives in America. And then we need to meet in small book clubs to discuss it. With cookies. And soothing beverages. This book is EVERYTHING. @msnbc.com @velshimsnbc.bsky.social @velshi.com
That looks amazing and so important right now!
Hi #kidlitchat! Iβve been busy with a couple of translation (Portuguese to English) projects, a picture book and a middle grade novel. Working ever so slowly on my own upper middle grade novel and pondering a picture book bio.
Hopefully it will only be our tax dollars wasted because Poland votes the fascist down.
Sheβs in Poland trying to convince their people to vote for a Putin-supporting fascist tomorrow.
I appreciated the last four years, knowing that our government wasnβt actively trying to cull us.

Unfortunately that decision to leave (a state or a country) is easier to make and carry out for someone whoβs just starting out in adult life.
Flying private is even more dangerous as we saw with that plane that crashed in San Diego last week due in part to a flawed weather forecast and runway lights not working in fog.
Not much to celebrate this July 4, but weβre going to celebrate ourselves and our resilience.
There's magic in being surrounded by other neurodivergent authors. Our retreat at Highlights Foundation gives you that opportunity and more!

Cajun music stories are apparently the US equivalent of Swan Lake.
Great news for the weekend! Congratulations! ππ
Writers and artists have gone into exile in the past for all sorts of reasons. As someone who is now struggling to write under this regime for emotional reasons, I would rather see their work get done irrespective of where theyβve chosen to do it.
Our streets have public works underneath them. They werenβt built for militaristic dictatorships.

Yes, we included chapter books on the WeAreKidlit Summer Reading list! @sujeilugo.bsky.social @lynmillerlachmann.bsky.social

What can they do in the US that they canβt do in Canada to oppose the regime?
At least for now their work will still be available and weβll have access to it within the US. And if that acccess is cut off, it only proves Shore, Snyder, and Stanley made the right decision to go where they could continue to pursue their projects in safety.
My outlines are never that detailed. Once I wrote a detailed outline and it felt as if Iβd already written the book. #kidlitchat
Outlining really helps with pacing, just making sure enough is going n and the events are the consequence of my protagonistβs decisions and actions. #kidlitchat
Yay! The books arrived!
