20 cyclists at a traffic light (not unrealistic especially in NL where I live) would easily "expand" to 20 cars of say 2 by 4 meters, filling up a huge amount of space..
Let the people in the (real) cars realise that all those 'silly' cyclists do not take up the space of 80 square meters in cars ..
Weirdly enough I dreamt about that actually.
Not because of this article, but yesterday.....
I imagined a simulation where all cyclists were replaced by one car (most car commutes involve 1 person per car).
Then the volume of this group would expand to what is realistic given the size of the cars..
At this point if I was abducted by aliens 👽🛸I would consider it a rescue mission.
