Jamie and Sam
Rob Cope, Jamie, Andy Scott.
Sam, at his graduation after being awarded a First in English Literature at Manchester University.
I am immensely proud of both my lads. Sam, currently doing a Masters in English Literature at Manchester University, and Jamie, who is making his way as a professional musician, playing with numerous bands across the UK. Both lads doing exactly what they want, and doing it well.
I am blessed!
I feel a bit sick ๐คฎ
I think some of them are already on that road...
Jamie's gigs this coming weekend include Edinburgh and somewhere in Somerset.
Keeping busy ๐ท
Nice to see that Jamie has a local (to me) gig in Sandbach.
Sunday 3rd May, 4pm. Entrance is free!
I'll post this again nearer the date.
Rather unfair on the gentleman who was simply expressing empathy that they were both the victims of 'the artist that cannot draw hands'.
A gentle drizzle here...
Today, Jamie's regular NSO gig.
I had a call from Jamie yesterday evening, he was telling me how much he enjoyed the climbing comp he entered. We chatted for about 20 mins, I then asked him his thoughts about the situation in Iran, he had heard absolutely nothing about it.
This morning I'm thinking what a lovely world he lives in.
Definitely worth a visit.
The trip to Edinburgh was great, really enjoyed it, but have suffered since. I'll definitely go again when I can walk better. The weather was also good.
I had a lovely chat with Jamie last night, on the phone. He is gigging in York tonight, and Leeds tomorrow, with more gigs booked from Edinburgh to Somerset. But first, at 09:00 this morning, he is taking part in a climbing competition! Look after those hands, please.
He now has a Bari Sax.
I'm ok, thank you. A few worries regarding my Mum, and my imminent operation, due on the 17th March, which I'm not looking forward to.
Sunday 22nd February, 08:10
Good to see that it is not raining here in East Cheshire, and none forecast today. Temperatures between 8-12c, with a SW wind picking up around lunchtime.
I'm only going to be there for about 3hrs, I won't be wandering far with this dodgy hip, I'll get something to eat, buy a postcard, then come home. I just fancy a train journey really.
I fancied a train journey, so I've booked a return ticket from Crewe to Edinburgh next week. ยฃ32, which is actually cheaper than a return to Leeds!
Second hip replacement scheduled for Tuesday 17th March, arrive at hospital for 07:00, I am first in line.
I am not looking forward to the op, despite hip 1 being a success. However, it does need doing.
Anxiety...
Saturday 14th February 07:20
It is a bit fresh in Cheshire East this morning, current temperature is minus 2c, should rise to around 5c this afternoon, with snow forecast overnight. The chance of snow is showing as 100%.
A gentle 2mph light breeze from the south west.
Happy Valentine's Day โค๏ธ
Jamie has a gig tonight in Leeds, with his own band.
Tomorrow he is playing a function gig in Ipswich.
Then, after staying in Ipswich, he travels over to Weston-Super-Mare to join with the Northern Swing Orchestra. Followed by the long trek back home to Leeds. Busy chap!
Nice ๐
Forecast for the next ten days here in Cheshire East, meh...
Monday 9th February 08:30
Here in Cheshire East it is grey and somewhat gloomy. Currently 7c, drizzle, and a 'feels like' of 1c due to the SE wind of 10-20mph. Temperature should rise a couple of degrees but will remain cloudy with a few drops of rain throughout the day.
Hearing a couple of Owls calling to each other, at four in the morning, is one of the positive things about not being able to sleep!

Feeding time.

Saturday 31st January 08:00
A nice bit of colour in the sky this morning here in Cheshire.
Temperatures between 5-8c, once again the wind making it feel much cooler. SSE 18-30mph. Should remain dry during the day.
Time for a brew!
One of the benefits of being old is that I lived in the pre-decimalisation era. You could find coins like these in your change. Maybe not the bottom right one which is George 111.
How many hands have these passed through?
Thursday 29th January 08:15
Cloudy, windy, but dry.
Temp 3-5c, wind SE 14-25mph.
Current 'feels like' is minus 3c
Today is my birthday!
I can't decide really, sometimes I think it does, but it is not always the case. I am unable to say if it follows a pattern.
